Irish-American songwriter Alexandra King bridges two worlds on her new EP Across the Pond, out now. Recorded with producer Evan Sieling and mixed by Grammy-winner Craig Alvin (Kacey Musgraves), the four-track collection feels like a quiet homecoming, equal parts nostalgia, resilience, and grace.
King blends originals and reimagined traditionals, tying together her time in Ireland and her Nashville rebirth. It’s a project rooted in gratitude; after a devastating spinal cord injury once threatened to end her career, her return to music feels like a victory sung in soft tones.
The standout track, Lose Me To Dublin, captures that push and pull between distance and belonging, a theme that runs through every note. There’s heart in the storytelling, honesty in the delivery, and an unmistakable warmth that makes Across the Pond feel like the work of someone who’s lived every line she sings.
