Chloe Star Unleashes Impactful New EP 'APT 1101'

Blazing with an unapologetic attitude and a voice that commands attention, rising alt-rock artist Chloe Star releases her brand-new 5-track EP ‘APT 1101’, led by the searing, high-voltage single “Bad Habit.” Known for fusing raw vulnerability with punk-inspired fire, Chloe Star is a bold new voice for the next generation of rock-pop outsiders and visionaries.

Born of Indigenous and Persian heritage and raised between San Bernardino and Los Angeles, Chloe Star’s artistic journey is deeply personal and undeniably powerful. Drawing inspiration from legends like Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, and Kurt Cobain, while channelling the edge of Willow, Jessie Reyez, and Billie Eilish, Chloe’s work is both intimate and incendiary, and ‘APT 1101’ is her most dynamic project yet.

“‘Bad Habit’ is a take on the rebellious energy that often breeds creative inspiration that I think people are sometimes too afraid to tap into,” Chloe explains. “It’s also a song about confronting the problem and realising that sometimes, you are the problem.”

Written and recorded in New York City, “Bad Habit” was co-written and produced by Alan Markley (Nat & Alex, Jack Antonoff’s Romeo & Juliet), and brought to life with a powerhouse studio band: Meg Toohey on guitar (Sara Bareilles, Jason Mraz), Avi Rosen on drums (Charlie Puth, Maggie Rogers), and Tim Lappen on bass (Casual Male). The track, like the full EP, pulses with bold confidence, distorted guitars, dramatic dynamics, and enough emotional weight to feel like both a scream and a confession.
