Kenny Wayne Shepherd has released a new version of “Deja Voodoo,” marking the first preview of his upcoming album Ledbetter Heights (The 30th Anniversary Sessions), arriving May 8.

The project sees the frontman revisiting his debut album three decades after its original release. The updated recording offers a fresh interpretation shaped by years of touring and recording, while remaining grounded in the blues-rock foundation that defined the original.

The anniversary edition includes contributions from drummer Chris “Whipper” Layton, who also performed on the original release. Production was handled in collaboration with Jerry Harrison.

Shepherd first recorded Ledbetter Heights as a teenager, and the album went on to achieve Gold and Platinum certification while topping the Billboard Blues Chart.
