Elise Trouw announces The Diary of Elon Lust, new single "All You Need Is Lust" out now

Elise Trouw has confirmed the release of her new project, The Diary of Elon Lust, arriving February 13th. Leading the rollout is the single “All You Need Is Lust,” a satirical track that introduces listeners to her newly created alter ego.

Elon Lust, according to Trouw, is an exaggerated composite drawn from misogynistic remarks women frequently encounter. The single pairs a relaxed groove with biting lyricism, pulling listeners into an uneasy balance of calm soundscapes and sharp commentary.

An accompanying video expands on the satire with surrealist visuals featuring disembodied body parts and distorted choreography. The deliberately grotesque tone reinforces the critique of the self-styled “good guy” archetype.

Trouw’s combination of minimal rhythms, lyrical wit, and bold visual direction positions the project as one of her most daring works to date.
