Houston outfit Angry Joe and the Holy Socks share atmospheric new single "I'll Run Away"

Alternative rock group Angry Joe and the Holy Socks have returned with “I’ll Run Away,” a new single that highlights the band’s more reflective and melodic side.

The Houston-based outfit combine layered guitars and subtle cinematic textures throughout the track, creating a spacious arrangement built around themes of memory, emotional weight and personal change. Influences from classic alternative and melodic rock are present, but the band maintain a distinct identity through their restrained songwriting approach.

The song was written after revisiting places connected to earlier struggles, with the lyrics focusing on the tension between staying rooted in the past and wanting to move forward.
