Parker Barrow have shared “Blinded,” a new single that introduces their upcoming album Hold the Mash, scheduled for release on July 17.

The track centres on a simple but effective structure, driven by a steady riff and a clear sense of pacing. Rather than layering additional elements, the band keeps the arrangement concise, allowing the core components to carry the song. This restrained approach also shapes the lyrical content, where themes of distraction and self-awareness are presented without exaggeration, giving the track a naturally balanced tone.

The addition of a fuller band lineup contributes to the overall sound, creating a sense of cohesion while maintaining the song’s simplicity. Influences from classic rock remain present, though they are integrated into the band’s own style rather than being emphasised directly.

As a preview of Hold the Mash, “Blinded” suggests a record that values clarity and structure, offering a consistent listening experience.
