Plasma Chasms Release Debut Album 'Chrysalis'

Indie-psychedelic duo Plasma Chasms proudly release their highly anticipated debut album, 'Chrysalis,' a 13-track cosmic journey through love, connection, and the vastness of human experience. Known for their unique blend of Australian indie and Southern California vibes, Plasma Chasms takes listeners on an interstellar journey through layers of psychedelia, vintage sounds, and modern digital sensibilities.

Chrysalis' is a concept album that invites listeners on a journey guided by a cosmic concierge through an intergalactic space elevator, exploring the vastness of love, loss, and everything in between. With vibrant soundscapes and thought-provoking lyrics, Plasma Chasms weaves a tapestry of emotions that transcends conventional boundaries. The album represents the courage to experience something new and the transformative power of the human experience. “Chrysalis represents the courage to experience something new. Life is a journey spread across many destinations along the human experience. Join us on our interstellar journey through the Chrysalis,” the duo states.

The album's name ‘Chrysalis’ is in reference to the in-between stage of metamorphosis, the duo explains further “This is the stage of old things giving way, the stage of goopy mess, of being neither caterpillar or butterfly. It's the time of being something in an undefined, transitional state. It's a time of retreating and feeling protected and a time of boundaries.”

Formed in 2020, the Australian/US duo Plasma Chasms quickly made a name for themselves with their distinctive sound. Their journey began with the self-release of singles ‘Echoes’ and ‘Empty Spaces,’ which caught the attention of the independent Australian label, The A&R Department. Their debut self-titled EP in 2022 showcased their ability to blend classic indie-pop with psychedelic vibes, paving the way for the creation of 'Chrysalis.' With a sound that is both deeply rooted in the past and forward-looking, Plasma Chasms continues to push the boundaries of indie music.
