UK producer Ch!mes returns with a genre-blurring new single, “Feel The Way I Do (feat. Chrxstal Sarah)”, a track that bridges emotional vulnerability with the glitchy, immersive textures of intelligent dance music (IDM). The track explores the quiet ache of moving on, accepting the past while dreaming of what could have been.

This latest offering continues Ch!mes’ evolution into a bold experimental sound. Melding chopped guitar riffs, breakbeats, and intricate synth design, “Feel The Way I Do” pulls listeners into a contemplative soundscape—equal parts wistful and hypnotic. It's a sonic homage to the stylings of artists like Flume, KOAN Sound, Shlohmo, and Flying Lotus, while staking its own distinct emotional territory.

“Feel The Way I Do was inspired by accepting circumstances even if you may struggle moving on, but you know it is the right thing to do,” says Ch!mes, who built the track around the ghost of a Willow Smith acapella before inviting Chrxstal Sarah, a rising singer-songwriter and producer from Los Angeles, to help bring it to life. Her haunting, soulful vocals float over the textured beat, creating an immersive experience that’s both intimate and cinematic.

Crafted with meticulous detail, the song’s instrumental was developed using Ableton’s sampler on “beats” mode, slicing guitar riffs into fragmented melodies that swirl through its heavy, syncopated basslines and punchy percussion. The result is a track that feels like drifting through a memory—fragmented, beautiful, and unresolved.

With previous support from Acid Stag, Stereofox, SwanoDown, and Amazing Radio, Ch!mes continues to make waves in the underground electronic scene. Earlier this year, he was announced as a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition and charted among the top 2,000 artists in the ambient genre on Chartmetric, cementing his reputation as one of the UK’s most inventive emerging producers.
