Rising avant-garde artist, producer, and performer LAMIA has released her latest single, “Angel”, via AWAL, an epic and emotionally charged track that cements her place as one of the most exciting new voices in underground electronic music. Taken from her highly anticipated upcoming album Nighthawks (out spring 2026). Angel is a euphoric and immersive experience blending ambient soundscapes, deconstructed club intensity, and post-trance atmospherics.
LAMIA, an MMus graduate of Goldsmiths, University of London, and alum of Leeds Conservatoire and The BRIT School, has built a reputation for pushing sonic and performance boundaries. Her live shows have captivated audiences at Berghain (Berlin), BBC Introducing Live Sessions, and the Berlin Music Video Awards, where she was hailed as “one of the best live performers we have ever had” by BBC Introducing’s Alan Raw. Media outlets including CLASH, DMY Magazine, BBC Radio 1’s Jaguar, Radio X, and KALTBLUT Magazine have spotlighted her distinctive sound and vision.
Written, recorded, and produced in the Electronic Music Studios by LAMIA at Goldsmiths during a challenging London winter, Angel emerged as a beacon of hope and transcendence for the electronic artist.
“Creating Angel was like a light that appeared and guided me through the darkness. Mark Fisher’s concept of hauntology also inspired me to feel music as empty space that gives you chills. Angel is very special to me,” says LAMIA.
With its soaring intensity and emotive weight, Angel reveals a new side to LAMIA’s creativity, one that is expansive yet vulnerable, futuristic yet deeply human. Following the success of her acclaimed single “Cobra” and its celebrated music video (screened at the Berlin Music Video Awards in the Best Low Budget category & Won 'Best Music Video' at Berlin Kiez Film Festival), Angel marks the next chapter in LAMIA’s unfolding world: bold, cinematic, and unafraid to dig into the emotional and spiritual depths of existence.
As anticipation builds for Nighthawks, LAMIA’s artistry continues to blur the lines between music, performance, and research, proving why she is quickly becoming one of the most vital emerging forces in London and Berlin’s underground electronic scenes.
You can catch LAMIA at the Artist Research talk at MostWanted:Music Conference in Berlin on the 13th of November.
