It comes from a walk down a dark path that ultimately presented the light to me in more potent contrast. I tried to capture that paradox between the dreamy feel of the music and the dark subject matter.”
While the lyrics directly confront addiction and emotional dependence, the song deliberately leaves room for individual listener interpretation.
