Tom McQ follows viral underground moment with new album 'Lonely Revolution'

Tom McQ has followed a breakthrough period of online attention with the release of “Lonely Revolution”.
The London songwriter recently reached millions of viewers after joining a fellow passenger for an unplanned performance of “Piano Man” on a 2am Underground service. The clip went on to attract more than 11.5 million combined views across TikTok and Facebook.
That spontaneous moment reflected a career built largely through live interaction. McQ has spent years busking around London, playing grassroots venues and developing a catalogue of more than 200 original songs.
On "Lonely Revolution", that informal approach is expanded into a full-band production, with strings, keyboards, drums and electric guitars surrounding his acoustic foundations.
