Global recognition grows around Random Acts of Kindness single 'I Wish'

Random Acts of Kindness’ “I Wish” continues to collect international recognition as its campaign develops around music and social change.
Songwriter Ken Freirich and the project recently received the Spirit of Hope and Excellence in Philanthropy Award from Teen Cancer America, the charity founded by Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend.
The song was also honoured in Côte d’Ivoire with the “I Wish” Peace and Social Change Award from the Mayor of Anyama. At an event in August, pupils from seven schools discussed the song’s message and shared their own hopes for the future.
Meanwhile, the African Children’s Choir version has surpassed 33 million YouTube views.
“I Wish” has also been submitted for consideration for the Recording Academy’s Harry Belafonte Best Song for Social Change Award.
The wider initiative will continue with new choir versions from Ukraine and, later, Palestinian and Israeli children.
