Dover-based emerging alternative artist quinn bailey returns with their latest single, “Glass Castle”, a raw and deeply introspective track that blurs the line between post-punk urgency and the ethereal textures of melodic shoegaze. Known for creating “music to mend the wounded soul,” Bailey crafts a sonic world where anguish and beauty coexist, inviting listeners to sit with the ache of disconnection and the quiet hope that lingers beneath it.

Written in the solitude of their bedroom and later brought to life with their band, “Glass Castle” was shaped through a fully in-house process, from production and recording to mixing and mastering. The result is a sound both intimate and expansive: swirling guitars, shadowy basslines, and ghostly vocals that echo through the walls of a self-made emotional fortress.

“‘Glass Castle’ was written about struggles I experience with dissociation and feeling as though I exist in isolation from my life and the other people within it,” Bailey explains. “The anguish of grappling with monsters from my past keeps me separated from the surrounding world by a metaphorical sheet of glass. After living encased from reality for so long, you become accustomed to it — the ‘prince’ of your own suffering.”

Drawing influence from acts like Wolf Alice, Slowdive, and Fontaines D.C., Bailey’s sound channels vulnerability through atmosphere, every reverb-drenched chord and whispered lyric acting as both confession and catharsis. “Glass Castle” is an emotional landscape, an exploration of what it means to live behind invisible walls, watching life continue through fractured reflections.

With “Glass Castle,” quinn bailey continues to define a distinct voice in the new wave of alt music, introspective, unflinching, and unafraid to find beauty in brokenness.
