MALIK. connects colour theory and club culture on ‘IRIDESCENCE’

Colour theory provides the conceptual starting point for the latest release from Lahore producer MALIK.
Created with independent label Silent Roar, ‘IRIDESCENCE’ is a six-track electronic EP that examines how listeners experience sound through both physical sensation and visual association.
The record moves rapidly between styles, incorporating UK garage, jungle, dubstep, hardgroove and drum & bass without settling permanently into any single form.
MALIK. has described movement as another central idea behind the project, referring both to people dancing in club spaces and the continued development of South Asian electronic music.
The producer has become a notable figure within Pakistan’s independent scene since co-founding Miracle Mangal in 2020. His own work has subsequently reached audiences through Boiler Room, Rinse FM, BBC Asian Radio, Foundation.FM and other international platforms.
With IRIDESCENCE, MALIK. continues to connect local underground culture with a wider global electronic network.
