Emerging indie group Young Allies have released their new single “Fingers Entwined,” offering another glimpse into the band’s upcoming debut EP.
Led by Fritz Michel, the New York-based project has evolved from a solo songwriting outlet into a larger ensemble featuring Tosh Sheridan, Gavin Price, Isaac Gardner, Phil Kadet and Shelly Bhushan. That collective approach shapes the sound of “Fingers Entwined,” which focuses on subtle arrangement and steady emotional pacing.
The track was partially inspired by double-exposure photography and explores ideas surrounding connection, uncertainty and emotional movement without becoming overly literal in its writing.
At the same time, Young Allies are continuing their regular performances at LIC Bar in Long Island City. The residency has become an important part of the band’s growth, allowing the material to develop organically through repeated live performance.
The release also arrives with a new video that expands the project’s surreal visual style, connecting with themes introduced in previous visual collaborations tied to the band’s earlier work.
