Tobias Bergson brings together melodic depth and dancefloor sophistication on Promise, a new EP released 9 October via PLAYY. Records. Drawing on deep house, progressive and Afro House influences, the Austrian producer delivers a measured, atmospheric sound that balances introspection with club-ready momentum.

The title track, ‘Promise’, establishes the EP’s identity through a restrained synth pulse and understated vocal textures before opening into an Afro House-inspired rhythm. Gradually layered instrumentation adds movement and complexity, allowing the production to build without sacrificing its reflective atmosphere. Rather than relying on immediate impact, Bergson favours subtle progression, intricate melodies and carefully controlled dynamics, giving the track a sophisticated, immersive quality.

That approach reflects Bergson’s wider production philosophy, which draws on the melodic sensibilities of artists such as deadmau5 and Ben Böhmer alongside the deeper club influences of Rampa and Chris Malinchak. With more than 180 million streams across platforms and support from Don Diablo, Lost Frequencies and Steve Aoki, Bergson continues to establish his position within electronic music. On Promise, he demonstrates a clear understanding of how emotional songwriting and considered sound design can translate into compelling dance music.
